Event Terms and Conditions:

These Terms and Conditions govern the sale of tickets and participation in the Trivia Night events organised by National MSA Research. Your purchase of a ticket or participation in the event constitutes your acknowledgment and agreement to these terms

1. Event Details

  • Event Date: 28th March 2026

  • Location: Latrobe Valley – Churchill Football, Netball Club 85 Switchback Road, Churchill Vic, 3842

  • Doors Open: 18:00

  • First Round Starts: 18:30

  • Conclusion (Approx.): 22:30

  • Event Date: 16th May 2026

  • Location:

  • Knox Area – St Jude's Parish Community Centre, 51 George St, Scoresby VIC 3179

  • Doors Open: 18:00

  • First Round Starts: 18:30

  • Conclusion (Approx.): 22:30

The Organiser reserves the right to alter the venue, date, or time. Sufficient notice will be provided if the event details are changed.  

2. Participation and Entry Fees

  • Team Size: Up to 10 seats per table.

  • Age Restriction: Attendance each event is strictly limited to individuals aged 18 and over. Photo Identification may be required to be presented for entry.

  • Entry Fee:

    • Single Seat: $35

    • Full Table (10 Seats): $300

    • Note: Early Bird prices may apply where applicable. These prices will be advertised separately.

  • Ticket Requirement: All attendees must present a valid ticket (printed or digital) for scanning upon entry. Entry will be denied without a valid ticket. Scanning your ticket registers your entry into the door prize draw. If one individual purchases a ticket for an entire table, this individual is responsible for distributing tickets to their respective guests.

3. Rules and Regulations

  • Fair Play: Participants must abide by the rules of the trivia competition and uphold a standard of fair play and sportsmanship. Any attempt to cheat or gain an unfair advantage may result in immediate disqualification without entitlement to a refund.

  • Decision of the Organiser: The decisions of the Organiser, hosts, or judges on all matters, including game rules, scoring, and prize allocation, are final and binding.

  • Conduct: Participants must refrain from any disruptive, offensive, aggressive, or unsafe conduct. The Organiser reserves the right to remove any individual engaging or exhibiting in such conduct from the premises without entitlement to a refund.

  • Prize Terms: Prizes are awarded as described. Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or credit.

4. Event Cancellation and Refunds

  • Cancellation/Postponement: The Organiser reserves the right to cancel, postpone, or alter the event due to unforeseen circumstances or reasons beyond its control. In such cases, the Organiser will aim to provide reasonable notice to each individual ticket purchase.

  • Refund Policy: All ticket sales are final. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide refunds if an individual is unable to attend. The ticket purchase price will be forfeited and treated as a donation to “National MSA Research”. This policy applies regardless of the reason for non-attendance.

5. Alcohol Consumption and Venue Rules

  • Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA): All participants must consume alcohol responsibly and in accordance with Australian law and RSA guidelines.

  • Intoxicated Individuals: The Organiser and venue staff reserve the absolute right to refuse service of alcohol to any individual, or remove any individual who appears intoxicated, without entitlement to refund.

  • Venue-Specific Rules:

    • 28th March 2026; (Churchill Football Netball Club): Alcohol Consumption and Service Policy

      • BYO Prohibition: Due to licensing restrictions, the Churchill Football Netball Club operates under a No BYO (Bring Your Own) Alcohol Policy.

      • Consumption of External Alcohol: Attendees are strictly prohibited from bringing, possessing, or consuming any alcoholic beverages not purchased directly from the venue's licensed bar.

      • Permitted Beverages: Non-alcoholic beverages, such as soft drinks, may be brought onto the premises.

      • Venue Bar: A licensed bar will be operational, offering alcoholic beverages for purchase at prevailing bar prices. All purchases directly contribute to supporting the Churchill Football Netball Club.

    • 16th May 2026, (St Jude's Parish Community Centre): Alcohol Consumption and Service Policy

      • The event is hosted on private property.

      • The Organiser strictly adheres to all requirements and standards of the Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA).

Bring Your Own (BYO) Alcohol:

  • Attendees are permitted to bring a moderate and responsible quantity of alcoholic beverages intended solely for their personal consumption during the event.

  • The primary goal is to maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for all attendees.

  • Excessive or irresponsible consumption of alcohol is strictly prohibited.

  • Prohibition of Alcohol Resale:

  • The sale, resale, distribution, or exchange of any alcohol (including BYO alcohol) for monetary or other value is strictly prohibited at this venue.

  • Any attendee found to be selling or attempting to resell alcohol will be subject to immediate ejection from the venue and may be reported to the appropriate authorities.

  • Enforcement:

  • The Organiser, or designated RSA-certified staff, reserves the right to refuse service, confiscate alcohol, or require the immediate removal of any attendee exhibiting intoxication, consuming alcohol irresponsibly, or breaching any part of this Alcohol Policy.

 

6. Mini-Games and Tokens

  • Mini-Games: Mini-games may be run between trivia rounds. The structure and rules of mini games will be at the discretion of the host.

    • Entry/Re-Entry: Initial entry is $2. Participants eliminated from a round may be offered a "buy-in" option, with the re-entry fee potentially increasing from $2 through to $20, as determined by the host, to ensure a fair competitive environment for the prize.

    • Payment: We encourage attendees to bring small change. Tokens will also be accepted as currency.

  • Token Policy:

    • Purchase: Tokens will be available for purchase at set values (e.g., $1.00 or $2.00) and will act as valid currency for mini-games and other designated activities at the event.

    • No Refunds: Tokens are single-use currency for the event only. Any unused tokens will not be refunded or exchanged for cash after purchase, or at the conclusion of the event.

7. Liability and Indemnity

Participants acknowledge and agree that they attend the event at their own risk.

  • Liability Waiver: Participants, to the fullest extent permitted by law, waive and release the Organiser, its staff, volunteers, and the venue from any and all claims, demands, damages, and causes of action whatsoever arising out of or related to any loss, damage, or injury (including but not limited to personal injury, illness, loss of property, or death) sustained during or in connection with the event, whether caused by negligence or otherwise.

  • Property: The Organiser is not responsible for any loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings brought to the event.

8. Privacy Policy

  • Personal Information: Any personal information collected (such as name, email, and payment details) will be used solely for the purpose of organising and pertaining to all communication about the event. This information will not be shared with third parties.

  • Marketing Communication: Your email address will be used to send communications or newsletters from National MSA Research. You may unsubscribe from these communications at any time using the link provided in the email. We commit to a strict anti-spam policy.
